What this page measures
Every time this page loads, the application queries the database and shows you the result and the round-trip time. That you are reading this page is itself the evidence the application is up. We publish no uptime percentage: we run no independent external measurement that could substantiate one, and a number with no measurement behind it is not data, it is a request to be trusted. The check also runs on the same server as the application, so it cannot detect a network outage between you and us.
We do not publish an incident history here. Our internal record names specific customers and vendors and is not written for an audience; publishing it unedited would mean either exposing other people's data or keeping a less honest record. A public, edited incident summary is planned as a separate page.
